The City and County of Honolulu passed a new law relating to replica guns. Ordinance 03-24 was introduced back in April 2003, and was signed in to law on July 16, 2003 by Mayor Jeremy Harris.
If you are caught violating the new law, you could face a fine of up to
$1000.00 and a year in jail.
Airsoft guns are realistic replicas of real firearms. Even if your airsoft guns guns have an orange tip, they should not be used or brandished in public, in a threatening manner, or used in a way that would cause a person to fear personal injury. Airsoft replicas should not be used for anything other than skirmishes, at designated sites. If an individual ignores this advice, they may expect a lethal Police response, prosecution, and confiscation of equipment; they also will contribute to the banning of this great sport.
